Dish Washer

Position:  Dish Washer

General Purpose:  To clean and sanitize dishes, glasses, silverware, and kitchen cooking equipment

Reports to: Head Chef

Critical Skills:

  • Ability to contribute to a positive a positive, cooperative work environment
  • Great knowledge of property standards
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work

Main Duties:

  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work area
  • To liaise with Head Chef and notify areas needing attention or operational inconsistencies, VIP functions.
  • Adhere to food safety standards at all times.
  • To perform daily tasks as per checklist
  • To ensure work area and equipment is maintained clean, safe, and appealing.
  • Ensure floors are clean and maintain free of food, spills, trash, or other obstacles.
  • To ensure OH&S and fire safety standards are upheld at all times
  • Knowledge of policies & procedures
  • To abide by all food safety laws
  • Ensure efficient use of all preparation equipment according to manufacturer instructions
  • Assist with food preparation as requested by Head Chef / Sous Chef
  • Clean kitchen floors and walls
  • Properly separate waste as per solid waste guidelines
  • Transport waste from kitchen to disposal area
